LAHAD DATU: F18 and Hawk jets swooped low over Kampung Tanduo and are believed to have dropped bombs on the Sulu gunmen still holed up there, Bernama reported.
Reporters heard at least four explosions, believed to have been bombs dropped by the jet planes, Berita Harian Online reported.
The aerial assault was followed by mortar bombardment followed by a land attack in the operation to flush out the gunmen which began at about 7am today.
