Tentera pro-Gaddafi menanggung kemusnahan yang besar akibat serangan jet-jet tentera Bersekutu yang diketuai Amerika Syarikat. Jet-jet pengebom Amerika, Britain, Perancis dan Arab Saudi dikatakan terlibat dalam serangan tersebut atas alasan Gaddafi melanggar genjatan senjata dan zon larangan terbang oleh PBB.
