Taliban 'beheads' Afghan police

The attack came as Afghanistan said its forces should be leading security operations by 2014 [File: AFP] Six Afghan police officers have been beheaded by Taliban  fighters in northern Baghlan province, the Nato-led international security assistance force (Isaf) has said. The officers were killed after Taliban fighters attacked a number of government buildings, including a police checkpoint.  A spokesman for the Taliban confirmed the attack on Wednesday, but denied the Isaf claims about the decapitations.
